Winter season of passenger transport on the Danube - STVR - Radio Regina
The season of passenger water transport was mainly limited to the summer months. They always started in April and ended in October. This was certainly because the shorter cruises around Bratislava were associated with sightseeing on the ship's terraces. In recent years, winter cruises have also been introduced, allowing for views of the illuminated city in the evening.
And such an idea was met in Bratislava with a positive response not only from foreign tourists. For example, cruises lead under Bratislava’s bridges, below Devín Castle and all the way to Čunovo. Ľudmila Masariková from LOD – Passenger Shipping told Martin Jurčo first about what the summer season had been like. After the New Year, passenger river transport will go into its winter dormancy, only to return again in spring with the first spring cruises.
